The day is ideal for those new to digital capture and looking to get the most from their personal photography, but also the more experienced photographer working with EOS 400D and 450D for specific types of subjects.

These include portraits, close-up, landscapes and travel. It will significantly shorten your learning curve and has been very well received by previous groups. Delivered in John's easy to follow and inspirational style, the following key areas will be covered:

• Step-by-step easy to follow explanation and demonstration of key features with real world advantages and disadvantages outlined.
• General photography tips from an acknowledged digital imaging expert and working photographer.
• Setting and getting the best from autofocus, Picture styles and other capabilities such as white balance
• Using the right exposure mode and metering choices, plus understanding the cameras histogram.
• Setting your camera for the best Jpeg results.
• An introduction to working with the Raw file format.
• Great results from your onboard Speedlite.
