Our photographic competition is now open & is available to Warehouse Club members only*.
*To become a member simply call 01438 353706, pop in to the Warehouse Club or click here to join online. Every month we will choose one of our Imaging Academy lecturers to select a subject matter. This will be emailed to all Warehouse Club members and displayed on this page on the 1st of every month. | You will then have 3 weeks to submit your digital image (no more than 2MB JPEG) to us via email, including your name, equipment used and membership number . You are allowed two entries per month. |
The images will be judged by the chosen lecturer and the winner announced on the 28th of every month.
July Competition Winners announced - click here... September competition subject - British Life This months subject seems simple enough on face value but requires some careful thought. We want your best shot showing ‘Britain’ in an unmistakable way. Maybe that will be a typical ‘picture post card’ type of shot such as a thatched cottage or the Guards in uniform, or those great red phone boxes that are disappearing. Maybe even famous places that anyone else around the globe could not help but understand the location. Or it could be more of a documentary approach, maybe your statement on an aspect of current life style that shows Britain in a more contemporary way rather than historical. Then again, get out the red, white and blue and creating a still-life may be the answer? Local and national customs, multi cultural Britain, the list is long on potential. We are happy to see images in colour or monochrome and feel free to be creative post capture if you wish.
